Alexandra Hope Aurum is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, writer, and lunar devout.
She received her Bachelor of Music in Theory & Composition from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2010, and her Master of Music in Composition in 2015 from the University of Victoria. Her chamber music has been performed internationally through the Vox Novus 15 Minutes of Fame series, and she was a guest student composer for the Tuckamore New Music Festival in 2015, where they premiered the piano trio hOPE vs. The hANGING eDGE [re:VISiTED].
As 1/2 of the eclectic rock duo Ste.17, Alexandra composed, wrote the lyrics, and performed keyboards, vocals, bass guitar, and drums. Other band projects include her gothic art metal band Hereafter, and as a guest keyboardist for death metal band Arboreal.
As a writer, Alexandra/Hope has also self-published two poetry books and a collection of image macros. Her poem Not enough exes to make a Pokemon team, but enough to personify the four seasons was included in the Festival of Literary Diversity 2021 program.
